This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Art is a subject most, if not all, of my students look forward to! It is a time when we all participate! We build, create, and draw beautiful pieces we can treasure for many years.

My students glance at the daily schedule, looking for art time.

When they spot it, they become excited and ask, "What are we doing for art today?" Many of our art pieces are assignments that take a few days to complete because they have multiple steps.

One classic and favorite activity during art is painting. They love painting using watercolors, tempera paint, and poster paint. Recently, we added glow-in-the-dark paint and paper. The students and their families love it. It has been a huge winner.

Sadly, our OLD black lights are not strong enough and the school-provided paint is too transparent so the art doesn't POP! Please help fund our project to make our art a "Glow-up!"

Lastly, we need a Gorilla cart wagon to carry our lunch pails to and from the lunch pavilion. Many of our students bring food in a lunchbox for recess and lunch. They often forget their lunchboxes in the yard and lose the food during recess so they have nothing to eat at lunch. Help us protect our lunch from the squirrels and get lunches to and from our classroom so no one goes hungry.
