This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are all special needs and are in a self-contained classroom for their severe cognitive and communication deficits. Despite their disabilities they come to school every day with a smile on their face and work hard to close their educational gaps. They have many abilities!
My students need fluorescent light filters in order to keep their focus on academics and not on those annoying fluorescents!
Fluorescent lights can be annoying! Students with Autism, can really be bothered by the brightness of the lights in almost every classroom in America. Having filters creates a nice calming environment and helps my students stay focused on the work at hand!
