Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
With your support, students will be able to use these headphones to self-monitor their reading progress. As their teacher, I will be able to clearly identify areas in need of improvement as each learner will be given an oppportunity to record themselves reading. Students will receive immediate feedback and thus boost their confidence as they grow during their grade 1 year.
The ability to incorporate technology into the reading curriculum will benefit all students especially English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities.
The headphones will ensure that regular monitoring of student progress takes place resulting in richer understanding of each child's abilities and increased autonomy in each child as they work towards meeting all learning standards.
