This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I will be using the flashcards and playing cards to make math bags for the students to take home to practice their math facts. Developing math fluency is a key to success for students to be able to learn new skills and be able to solve more advanced problems.

Making learning facts fun will motivate my students to practice at home.

Playing cards offer many opportunities for children to use their math skills.

For example, students can turn over two cards and add them together or multiply the numbers depending upon the grade level. I will also include directions for the families.
