This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are having fun celebrating Earth Day. We are focusing on ways to help our earth, which includes recognizing when we aren't making the best choices. I want to read my students books that focus on making good choices and recycling. These books will be used during class discussions where we will take notes using the dry-erase markers, which will later be used to create a writing piece. In addition, my students will learn about the benefits of growing their food. We will study the benefits of growing fruits and vegetables, and they will practice planting using seeds and clay flower pots. This will encourage them to plant gardens at home, which is better for our earth!
