As part of our science unit, I would like to grow flowers with my class. These supplies will allow each student to plant flowers and observe how they grow. Some of these flowers will be transplanted into our school garden for our pollinators, and others will go home as gifts for their parents.
Planting flowers with my class will provide a hands-on connection to our science unit and increase student awareness of what plants need to grow.
They will also be contributing to the garden ecosystem and helping to attact much needed pollinators!
With your donation, we will also be adding an indoor vermicast system to our class :). This will provide another hands on way for the class to learn about life cycles of worms and their importance in our garden and agricultural ecosystems. It will also help them understand how to reduce organic waste by feeding our worms.
