My Students

Our school is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme. We are Title I school that serves a diverse population in our community. We have over 1,000 students that come from many different backgrounds and experiences, but when they enter the doors to our school, they are family.

Our students participate in a challenging, inquiry based education.

Every day they work hard to reach their academic goals as well as goals in extracurricular activities. They participate in weekly classroom meetings, work in groups on inquiry projects, and take action in their community.

My Project

The more choices educators can give students throughout the day, the more successful their students are. Soft seats provide a comfortable way for students to work while sitting on the floor.

I love to use flexible seating in my room.

Students can pick where they want to sit during writing, reading and in math. Some students pick seats by the windows, others prefer seats at individual desks, and then there are the kids that love to sit on the floor.

Students can move the cushions to a spot in the room that is just right for them. These cushions can be used throughout our day during reading, math, writing and even when we are in our gathering area for lessons and class meetings! These floor cushions will give students a comfortable place to sit as they work.
