This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, movement, flexibility, and comfort are essential to helping young learners stay engaged and focused throughout the day. Floor cushions will give students the option to choose where and how they learn best, whether it’s during independent reading, partner work, or small group activities. These soft, portable seats allow children to settle into their learning space with ease, reducing distractions caused by discomfort or restlessness.
By offering flexible seating, we empower students to take ownership of their learning environment which increases motivation and focus.
Floor cushions also support social-emotional learning by promoting collaboration, awareness of personal space, and a sense of classroom community. With your support, we can create a learning environment that is welcoming, adaptive, and responsive to students' diverse needs.
