Floodwater Management and Green Buildings

Help me give my students a new aquaponic system to further our focus on building a greener NYC. We believe aquaponics can play a role.

My Project

Our class has been looking into different ways to build a greener New York City. In the past, we have studied different hydroponic systems but now we are interested in aquaponics as another possible solution. How can we use an aquaponic tank to benefit both animals and plants? Can we find a way to incorporate this into buildings so we have a way to farm in an urban setting? With the Aquasprouts system, we believe that through observation and making small changes, we can come up with ideas to share at next year’s district STEM Expo.
