My Project
In FIRST LEGO League, students engage in hands-on STEM experiences, building confidence, growing their knowledge and developing habits of learning. FIRST LEGO League's three divisions inspire youth to experiment and grow their critical thinking, coding and design skills through hands-on STEM learning and robotics.
My goal is to utilize the Spike Prime robotics kit to develop students' understanding of STEM and plant the seeds for them pursue lucrative professions in STEM.
Our student population is 50 percent female and 50 percent male. Demographics here: 39.8% White, 37.3% Hispanic/Latino, 17.2% Black or African American, 4.3% Two or more races, 1.3% Asian or Asian/Pacific Islander and the rest.
This one, of many robotics kits needed, will be the medium for students to use during robotics competition to build communication skills, develop strong analytical skills, mature understanding of the larger society, foster creativity, and plant the seeds to understanding how STEM is applied to solve the evolving challenges of today.
