This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing kids! Some of them are extremely energetic, while others are more quiet and contemplative, with everything in-between. My students are a diverse group that come from various backgrounds with different learning styles and needs.

A lot of my students struggle in math and have an achievement gap, but still say math is their favorite subject.

I care about all my kids and want to do everything I can to help them succeed in my class this year. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.

My Project

For my 6th grade class, I need a full class set of white boards for extra practice of all the various mathematical concepts and problems we cover. I also need a set of coordinating white boards for when we start graphing. These Flip-side Grid/Plain 2side DryErase Lap Boards will be a huge help during the school year. I plan on using these for review, targeted practice, and any games we may do that require me to assess student's answers. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work.
