Flip Video Camcorders for High-Poverty Arts Magnet
My students need 2 Flip Video Camcorders.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Joseph's classroom raised $501
This project is fully funded
I am a music teacher integrating music with classwork for grades Pre-K-8 in a culturally diverse urban school with a poverty level of 77 percent.
After studying how composers use their words and the elements of music to express themselves, the 8th-graders decided to use their words and the elements of music to express their life in an urban school. The goal is to compile their work into a DVD, but we need the recording equipment to make that happen.
My 50 students need two Flip video camcorders to record their music project, download it to a computer, and burn a DVD. The Flip videos are an efficient way to capture their performances. Students will enhance their critical thinking skills by making connections between their words and the music they write. This project will deepen their knowledge of composition while exploring their creativity.
You will make it possible for my students to record the finished composition of a project that will take 6 months to complete. This project requires students to demonstrate their knowledge of composition and creative writing and allows them to discover additional learning and creative problem solving.
