Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 2nd grade classroom is full of students from diverse backgrounds both culturally and economically. In my classroom, we focus on learning kindness, risk-taking, and independence. I believe my role is to assist each child in developing their own potential and learning style. I believe that students learn best through hands-on experiences. Thus, I try my best to provide my students with resources that incorporate each different learning style while also making the content relevant to the students' lives. As well as incorporating hands-on learning, cooperative learning, projects, themes, and individual work that engage and activate students learning.
My Project
This English language arts hands on phonics games will serve as a resource to help with remediation and to solidify 2nd grade ELA concepts through play. Activities are bright and will visually motivate students by encouraging them to practice skills they have already learned.
