Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students all have different manners of de-escalating and meeting their sensory needs. I have observed that many of my students enjoy gaming and will use it as an outlet to de-escalate or to simply relax. I would love to create a space in my classroom that is structured and meets my student’s unique needs. The Nintendo Switch will be used as part of our classroom calming living space. When students need a break or need to de-escalate they will be provided with the option to play a game. This will be a great and positive manner to address my students behavioral and sensory needs.
