This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students will be using the requested materials and creating flip books to learn algebra and geometry. The materials include markers, cardstock, and paper. They will use the flip books to take notes and work examples. They will also use the flip books to refer back to when solving problems. These students are taking algebra and geometry in middle school. They are skipping one or two years of math instruction, which is very challenging for them. These flip books facilitate learning for them. Putting them on colored paper emphasizes the main points so they can refer back and use them repeatedly.

The flipbooks will provide a framework for students to solve real-world, complex word problems.
