This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Within my class, my students have the ability to learn how to fly and ultimately potentially earn the private pilot's license. To prepare my students for this possibility, all 170 plus students have the ability to learn the fundamentals and practice flying on our class flight simulator. This project is to increase the number of physical instruments, the look and the feel of a real cockpit. By practicing with the correct number of instruments in the correct location as in the real aircraft, my students will have a better ability to transition into a real aircraft with a smaller learning curve. The items in this project are instrumental in this endeavor. My class has in the last year had two students over the summer learn to fly. One of those earned his private pilots license. The reason from him was that he practiced on our class's simulator hands-on. The other student did not. Our flight simulator was a large contributor. That is why this project is so important.
