Flight Simulation Equipment for Engineering Students
Help me give my students a rudder and yoke/throttle controls to use for flight simulation in our engineering program.

My Project
Students at our high school have the opportunity to join the Project Lead the Way curriculum for Engineering. One of the keystone courses students take is Aerospace Engineering, where students learn about the mechanics and properties of flight, and how to use the engineering design process to apply it to aerospace engineering.
Many of our alumni have gone on to study rigorous engineering degrees in post-secondary education, and allowing students to have access to flight simulation in the classroom can open new opportunities for students.
These students will be able to learn the basics of flight, VFR and IFR, ATC communications, pre-flight, mid-flight, and post-flight checklists, and many more of the important steps in order to successfully pilot an aircraft.
Through the use of this technology in our classroom, students can extend their learning and move toward a career in aviation, possibly even gaining their pilot's license in the process. Many flight simulators are expensive to rent, and allowing our classroom to have one would open the door for all of our students to gain more practice in flight.
