This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My co-teacher and I teach students on the autism spectrum, at a Title 1 elementary school. Many of these students benefit from a multi-sensory, and flexible approach to learning. The use of these flexible seating materials, like the wobble stool, lap desks, and floor seat will support our students in sustaining attention, motivate them to learn, while providing them the choice and flexibility within their classroom. The choice will maximize student learning across grade-level standards, while creating a welcoming environment where our students feel welcomed and celebrated! We would appreciate your support in bringing this project to life!
