My Students

I am a 5th grade teacher to 75 of the best students that I know! Our school is a small, rural school in Alabama. It is also a Title I school with limited funds. Even though funds are very limited, I try to give my students the best education possible.

My students are amazing and so eager to learn.

They love lessons that are hands on and that keep them up and moving. They love group work and love team building activities.

My Project

Our classroom is in desperate need of a makeover! Our desks and chairs are old and outdated. Many of the chairs are broken. The desks take up a lot of space in the classroom.

My students are very active.

They love to be moving around. Many of my students struggle to stay focused and seated in the traditional desk and chair. By having tables with flexible seating, my students are able to sit and learn in a way that best meets their needs. In math class, we do a lot of group work and having tables would make working together easier!
