Help me give my students a nugget comfort couch. It is a great way to create flexible seating options that are comfortable, easy to change and doesn’t take up to much space.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My school is made up of students who come from various backgrounds. They are kind, curious, imaginative and love to learn! Unfortunately, funding at our school is at an all time low. I want to be able to help them reach information and knowledge beyond the classroom, through hands-on learning. They are twenty-first-century learners who are thirsty for knowledge and ready for a challenge.
I am the GATE coordinator as well as a fourth grade teacher and my emphasis is to help students be well-rounded and challenge them academically, as well as provide them with opportunities to challenge themselves in non-traditional ways.
The world is changing, so the way we teach our students needs to change, too. We also need to accommodate their various needs and learning styles to help them strive for their very best!
My Project
I am trying to utilize our small classroom so that students don’t feel cramped, or stifled. I am trying my best to incorporate flexible seating in my classroom to allow students to learn during independent time in a comfortable setting. Sometime a student needs a break from their buddy they sit next to for most of the day, or they are easily distracted. Or perhaps students need to gather in small groups to discuss how to go about a STEM project, or how to solve a math problem. The Nugget Comfort Couch can help give my students those options. It can be arranged to fit one person or disassembled to fit four. It is the ultimate flexible seating arrangement.
