I teach in a K-5 elementary building. Our students are inquisitive and ask thought-provoking questions, with supportive parents. Typically most students who enroll in Kindergarten spend their entire elementary career within our school. We are a school that prides itself on PBIS implementation and the home school relationship. My school has also recently implemented AVID, which places emphasis on college and career readiness.
All of these support systems allows students to feel supported and more willing to learn.
We are raising lifelong learners at my school!
My Project
Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. During independent work times, students will have the opportunity to move about the classroom. Some students need to move and have a quiet work space, which these chairs would provide.
When given choices, students are typically more engaged and work production will increase.
Seating choices matter just as much as any other classroom choice.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. They are lightweight and can be easily used in many areas of the classroom.
