This is my first year of teaching and also my first year with my very own students! I have a great group of students that come from many different backgrounds. The majority of my students come from a low socioeconomic household where there is very little parent involvement.
Being in a co-teach classroom, my students have a variety of academic levels.
With 20% of my students having special needs and several ranking in the top of the gifted/talented cluster, it is important to have many resources that can meet the needs of all of my students.
While it is a challenge to teach at all different levels within the same classroom, my students show improvement every day and are eager to take advantage of any learning opportunities. I could not ask for a better first set of students!
My Project
Do you like working from your desk all day? I know for me personally I get a lot of work done while sitting on my couch or even in my bed some days! My students are no different from us adults! Students need to feel comfortable to be able to concentrate and do their best work!
With these stools and portable desks, my students will be able to work from anywhere and increasingly engage their minds to the task at hand!
I am excited to add these stools as an extra incentive for students to do well in my classroom. They can use these stools at their desks instead of the hard chairs that they sit in every day! These will also serve as great seats for our computer center! The portable desks will be able to be used in all centers as they can sit in chairs or even on the floor! No more writing on the hard concrete outside!
Also included are 3 cases for our remaining kindle fires that currently do not have any protection! We love our supplies that are donated to our classroom and want to protect them in any way so that they get the longest life!
