My Project

Every student learns differently! These supplies will support flexible learning options in our 4th grade classroom. We currently have a few laptop desks that students can use to sit closer to the board (for improved visibility) or to collaborate with a partner on projects. My students LOVE having flexible seating options available, but aren't always able to use a laptop desk, due to our limited supply. It would be great to be able to make this option available to more than just a few students at a time.

Additionally, I would like to incorporate more opportunities for movement and art into our school day.

These PE and Art supplies will support both their physical and mental well being and help motivate students to come to school on a more regular basis. It will also help them develop and practice skills like teamwork, communication and creative expression.

Lastly, I would love to replace some worn out voice amplifier headsets that my students use for presentations, reading aloud and sharing. We first started using these during the pandemic to help students hear each other despite masking and social distancing. We continue to use these in class as I have found them to be an essential tool to ensure my more soft-spoken students (especially my ELs!) to be heard. I have also found them to help motivate students to want to share their ideas and even read aloud in class. Although the speakers themselves work well, some of the headsets are getting worn out with use and produce a lot of static. It would be great to replace them so every student's voice can be heard clearly!
