Because of you, our classroom has undergone a total transformation.\r\n\r\nBefore these supplies arrived, many of my students viewed math as a spectator sport—something they watched me do at the front of the room. Now, thanks to the Vertical Whiteboards and materials you provided, they are the ones leading the way.\r\nInstead of sitting at desks waiting for instructions, students are immediately up on their feet, collaborating in random groups.Because markers and whiteboards are \"non-permanent,\" the fear of making a mistake has vanished. Students are bolder, trying new strategies and erasing errors without frustration.\r\n\r\nThe room is no longer silent; it's filled with the hum of mathematical arguments and \"aha!\" moments. Riding a bike strengthens gross motor skills by engaging large muscle groups in the legs, arms, and core. As children pedal, steer, and balance, they develop better coordination, balance, and body control. These skills support muscle strength and endurance needed for activities such as running, jumping, and climbing.\r\n\r\nUsing a bike also improves bilateral coordination, as children learn to use both sides of their body at the same time—pedaling with both legs while steering with their hands. This coordination supports future learning tasks such as writing, cutting with scissors, and participating in group activities.\r\n\r\nIn addition, biking enhances spatial awareness and motor planning, helping children understand how their body moves in space and how to safely navigate around obstacles. Riding a bike also builds confidence and independence, as children feel proud when they ride on their own and learn to follow simple rules like stopping, turning, and waiting for others.\r\n\r\nOverall, having a bike supports a preschool student's physical development, motor skill growth, self-confidence, and encourages healthy, active play.\r\n\r\nFor these reasons, I sincerely thank all who contributed to the Wheels of Wonder project. Students who used to get up to wander around or lose focus within minutes are able to select a wiggle stool to let their bodies move while their minds stay engaged in learning! Rather than tilting precariously in their regular chairs, they are now able to safely and gently rock back and forth!\r\n\r\nThe new additions to our classroom library have also been a real hit! The students' eyes grew so wide as we unpacked all of our new supplies! We kicked off our school year using the multi-media paper for split-self portraits to celebrate our identities and get to know each other. Another standout moment happened during our SEL (Social Emotional Learning) block. The students carefully mixed clear glue with a bit of water, glitter, food coloring and the star confetti to create their calming bottles. Watching the students mesmerized by the swirling glitter was a powerful reminder of how needed these mindfulness tools are! \r\nThe versatility of these supplies allowed us to bridge the gap between history and art! The students used the black paper to represent one of the theories of human migration to Hawaii in the style of a Palauan storyboard. It was amazing to see them capture social studies concepts using such a striking traditional art form. \r\nMost recently, our classroom transformed into a studio as students used the canvases and acrylic paints to create \"night cityscape paintings. It was such a joyful moment, and it wouldn't have happened without you.\r\n\r\nSince then, we've been using the play dough in all kinds of ways. In math to build shapes and practice counting, in science to model things like animal habitats, and of course, during free play where their imaginations really shine. It's been amazing to see them so engaged and hands-on in their learning.\r\n\r\nYou also helped us restock some classroom basics that we were running low on, like glue sticks (which we seem to go through faster than anything!) and snacks for our prize box. Those little rewards go a long way in keeping the kids motivated and feeling proud of their hard work.\r\n\r\nRight now, we're working on a project about habitats, and the students are using play dough to create animals and the environments they live in.
