My Project
These resources can make a transformative impact in a second-grade urban classroom by meeting both academic and emotional needs. Here's a breakdown of how each item helps:

Encourage active participation during lessons—students can write answers, practice spelling, or solve math problems.
Allow for quick assessments so the teacher can check understanding in real time.
Make learning interactive and fun, especially for students who may struggle with traditional paper-based tasks.
Bean Bags & Nook:
Create a cozy, inviting reading corner where students feel safe and relaxed, which can help build a love for reading.
Offer flexible seating for students who have difficulty focusing in a traditional desk setting—especially helpful in diverse learning environments.
Promote a calm classroom climate, giving kids a soft, peaceful space to regroup or read quietly.
Journals:
Encourage daily writing, which builds literacy, self-expression, and emotional intelligence.
Give students a private space to explore their thoughts, stories, and ideas—important in urban settings where creative outlets may be limited.
Can be used across subjects for reflection, goal setting, and tracking growth.
