Each year I am excited to enter into the new school year. This coming year is even more exciting because my students and I will be starting the year in a new school!
My goal is to create a school and classroom environment that is inviting, engaging, meaningful and full of passion!
My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives.
Although I don't know my students yet, I already know that it is going to be such a special group of students! I cannot wait to meet them and see the unique qualities that they bring to our class. My students will be from a low income area and they deserve the best! Thanks to your donations, I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society!
This project will provide my classroom with additional seating options for our flexible seating plan. Last year, I found that my students were much more engaged and successful when given a choice in their seat in the classroom.
My students have always thrived when given a choice to make a positive change in their learning.
I believe very strongly that students should be given opportunities to make choices that benefit their experience in my classroom. I give an immense amount of structure to help guide my students in making these decisions. This project will allow for me to give each and every one of my students a choice other than a simple chair. The tractor chairs will be placed at a lowered table, which is appealing to some students. I have found that some students do so much better when they can roll around and be closer to the ground! The stools will be a great addition to our small group kidney table as well. Finally, the bungee chairs will definitely be a popular choice! Anything that allows some silent movement during instruction and independent work has proven to be beneficial in my classes.
As a teacher of a very diverse group of students, I try to do everything in my power to make my classroom full of movement and engagement. I truly believe that these resources will help my students to maintain focus and make wise choices that benefit their learning.
