My Students

My 29 fantastic 5th graders are eager to expand their knowledge, build friendships, and make a difference in our world. Our classroom is an inclusion class celebrating all abilities and cultures. I am proud to be their teacher, the one who challenges and praises them. I am not just their teacher, but also a facilitator of learning providing a meaningful and engaging, multicultural education to every individual student. I treat every child as an individual, understanding their unique learning styles in order to ensure that every student reaches their greatest potential.

My Project

My students love being able to move around the room. They especially love working in groups on a floor space. Our current floor seats have lost their cushion and we are in need of new floor seats for students to feel comfortable. Students will use the floor seats for reading a book, working at centers during math and reading workshop, complete independent work, and even to feel more comfortable during tests. The seats can easily be moved around the room to work in any space. With 29 students we are in constant need of seating options to ensure every student can learn to their potential.
