Flexible Seats For A Flexible Room!

My students need additional options for seating like floor seats and wobble cushions in our classroom. A few years ago I received Donors Choose funding for flexible seating. Through the years our seats have been worn down and need replacement.

My Students

My students are eager to learn and ready to grow. Our number one rule in our classroom is to always be a family. We protect and take care of each other and provide care and help each other. We strive to be respectful, responsible, and safe.

My students come from an economically disadvantaged population, but they are the most resilient.

My students talk about being future doctors, nurses, teachers, policemen, and firefighters. It is my goal to help and guide these students to overcome adversity.

My Project

Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning. If we are training students to be 21st-century thinkers, we need to allow them the opportunity to choose where, and how they learn.

Choice and access give students the opportunity to thrive.

In our classroom, we currently have a few options for flexible seating, but not enough for every student to have a choice. I have noticed that when students choose to sit in flexible seating options they are more focused and ready to learn.

We are asking for 6 flexible floor seats and 10 wobble cushions that allow the students to place them either on the floor or in a traditional seat to transform it into flexible seating. The products that I have chosen will allow my students to have additional seating options and will help them succeed.
