Having flexible seating in a special reading nook with soft lighting for students will encourage them to grab a book and read. We want to encourage their imaginations and love of learning! My students are from low-income families and reading is not a priority in most families.
I would like to give them a comfortable, quiet area in my room to sit down and relax and learn to read for fun.
This area will help create opportunities for learning in the classroom that is not in a traditional setting, and hopefully encourage my students to read!
