My Project
ASL is visual, so students must clearly see the teacher and each other’s signs.
Traditional rows can block visibility.
Flexible seating allows students to position themselves in circular or semi-circular setups for optimal viewing.ASL involves a lot of partner work and expressive practice.
Movable seating helps students easily pair up or form small groups to practice dialogues, classifiers, or storytelling in sign.
Students can choose a seat where they feel most comfortable and alert, which boosts focus, especially in a language that requires strong visual attention.
Options like standing desks, and cushions can support different learning needs.
ASL classes often include visual storytelling, role plays, and performances.
Flexible seating creates space for movement, performances, and allows quick reconfiguration of the classroom for presentations.
