My Project
Creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment is one of the most important parts of my classroom. My students, primarily in grades 9–10, face a range of learning challenges—including ADHD, learning disabilities, and visual impairments. For them, a calm and supportive space makes a big difference in how they learn, focus, and feel throughout the day.
This year, I’m working to add more flexible seating options to better support their needs.
Flexible seating allows students to choose the space that works best for them—whether that’s a wobble stool, a floor cushion, or a cozy chair. These choices help reduce anxiety, increase engagement, and build a sense of independence and comfort in the classroom.
