This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Flexible seating options allow students to move in ways that help regulate their sensory input. This can lead to improved focus and attention by providing a controlled outlet for their sensory needs. Movement within the classroom increases student engagement. Flexible seating will allow my students to have the sensory stimulation desired while completing educational tasks. The benefits of flexible seating are choice, physical health, comfort, community, collaboration, commitment to learning , communication, sensory input and fun! Physically comfortable classrooms promote a sense of well-being, keep minds focused, and limit distractions.
