This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a dual-immersion elementary school as a resource teacher. I am helping students from a variety of grades with an assortment of needs. Many students speak both Spanish and English. There are many needs at this school that parents aren't always able to help with.
Having alternative seating options such as wobble chairs will not only help my students focus better when in the classroom but also give them autonomy over their learning environment.
By having alternative seating options available, the diverse needs of my students will be satisfied. As a first-year teacher, I want to make sure my students are able to learn and take responsibility for their learning.
