Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am looking to provide a safe learning environment for my students where they will be given opportunities to learn and work together in flexible seating arrangements rather than the same, uncomfortable chairs every day. I want them to be excited for the opportunity to sit in different areas of the classroom and help them feel comfortable in their learning environment. We use our desks to work every day of the week. However, students are constantly rocking, falling out of their seats, up walking around, on their knees, standing up, etc.
I want to provide my students with a rug, stools, and portable desks to help increase focus and productivity.
By donating to our project, you will help to increase their academic achievement, focus, and engagement; thus, increasing productivity.
I have seen how choice of seat can and will positively affect my students productivity and focus. I also hope to increase their sense of ownership in their learning.
