This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All of my students are on the Autism spectrum (Preschool-Kindergarten), and many of them struggle with core control. All of my students learn at different levels and have different sensory needs. Having chairs that easily adjust helps them to focus and limits the need for students to drag chairs to various stations that are specifically sized for each student.
Flexible seating allows my students to focus on their learning and be able to quickly engage in their given task when they transition from station to station.
As well as helps them with core control that can increase focus and writing tasks.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
