This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Flexible seating would provide my students the ability to participate in whole group, and small group activities while still providing them the ability to choose how to participate. My students have a variety of sensory needs(i.e. the needs to feel secure, fidget, stand or sit) in which flexible seating would allow for them to meet their needs while increasing alertness and focus. All of my students have unique needs, but providing opportunity for them to have their needs meet in a variety of way helps learning to occur in all aspects from social, emotional, behavioral, and academically.
