My Students

In our class, we empower each other to grow and succeed. We build a community as part of their education, and establish interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships. Since I am an elementary school teacher, most of my students need different tools/resources to help them succeed.

My Project

Research shows that there are many benefits to having flexible seating in the classroom setting. These flexible seating arrangements will help my students focus and be more engaged in our daily lessons/activities, as it allows more oxygen flow to the brain and blood circulation. It also empowers students, as they now have some degree of choice or control over their working environment. Flexible seating can wobble, rock, and lean, allowing for more sensory stimulation. I understand the one-shoe-fits-all method does not work for everyone, thus I want my classroom to be as inclusive as possible and provide traditional seating along with flexible seating.
