With all the uncertainties surrounding this school year, I want my classroom to be a great environment for students to learn! With students being more restricted to their own learning spaces I want that space to be as comfortable for the students as possible!
My students come to school energetic and ready to learn every day!
They enjoy movement and hands-on activities the most. It is hard for most of them to stay engaged while sitting in a hard, uncomfortable chair all day. They often get fidgety and restless. I would like the opportunity to offer them flexible seating options that will make them more comfortable while they are learning, especially this year with all the limitations! A comfortable learning environment will lead to more student engagement, which means more success!
So, I would really like to get my students more options (besides a chair) that will work for them at their own desks! This will help students be more comfortable and engaged in my classroom this year!
My Project
I am requesting wobble seats, stacking stools and cushions. Flexible seating will give my students a choice of how they are learning at their desks this year! I have learned that flexible seating is a great option for all students during their day! We will be more limited this year due to COVID with movement in our classroom. This is why it will be even more important this year to allow students opportunities to move while being at their desks.
The items in this project will be great resources for my students this year to use at their desks!
I know my students will be even more successful when they have a choice of what they would like to sit on rather than just given a chair!
