Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a special education teacher that works in a variety of our classrooms through co-taught and push-in models, I am fortunate to work with nearly every student that attends our school. My students are creative and passionate when it comes to learning through our inquiry based approach. During our time away from our building I want to prepare my classroom for their return with flexible seating options that will support them in their transition back.
My Project
When our doors reopen, students will be able to use these supplies to transition back into school and have the option to chose how and where they learn. Maybe they need to stand when they work? They might need to bounce some or perhaps they want to sit on the ground, all of these supplies will support the creative individuals in my classroom.
I can send some of these supplies to students to use in their homes while they are engaging with online learning to support them as they work diligently on their work.
