Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to teach 30 third grade students. They come from various backgrounds and experiences and my job is to learn about them, and support them the best I can. They also vary in academic levels and specific needs. I love learning with them and watching them grow. Each and every day I try to empower and provide them with tools to help them be successful both inside and outside of the classroom.
They are amazing students who are constantly overcoming obstacles.
I want to do whatever I can to help my students be successful.
My Project
Many of my students come to class with many unique needs. Some students have extra energy that often makes it challenging for them to concentrate in class. Others struggle with staying motivated and focused on their learning.
For many students, flexible seating can allow them to thrive in the classroom and bring their learning to a whole new level.
The items that were picked out for this project allow for students who struggle with sitting in traditional seating to have flexibility in allowing them to choose something that meets their learning needs. This furniture will let them move away from the traditional desk seating that often limits their engagement.
