Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I just meet some of my new students at Meet the Teacher night. I will have a diverse classroom. Which I am so excited about. I love diversity because I get to teach about it. I work in a low income area where students need a lot of motivation. I also work in a school with military students. This year is all about being positive ! My students are 5 to 6 years of age. Can't wait to meet all of my students. Looking forward in creating other projects once I get to know my students and their needs.
My Project
The requested Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats will give my students a new seating option. I will give them an opportunity to sit somewhere else while they do independent work.
Flexible seating will give them an option to sit and learn differently.
I have some chair scoops in the class but not enough. They need more options in the class. My students are young and its not fair that they have to sit on hard chairs. Students love to sit on the floor but with these cushion chairs they will be able to be comfortable. Last year I used my scoops and my students love it! I used it as a motivation for them to do their work. If they were doing their work then they will be exited about sitting on the floor.
Little by little I want my flexible seating to grow. Can't wait to see what these chairs do for my class.
