Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are what drive every decision in my class. The majority come from low-income families and in spite of their struggles, they come to school every day eager to learn. My students have a mix of abilities and disabilities and I strive to reach them day-to-day.

My students enjoy and appreciate everything provided to them in the classroom to be successful, empowered, and feel comfortable to express themselves.

They are ecstatic about learning in different ways and I want to provide that for them.

My Project

This project will provide students a space to feel comfortable in the classroom. Students feel empowered when they can make choices about anything that has to do with their education.

It is proven that Flexible Seating helps students focus and be committed to their learning.

Currently, my students have two yoga balls and six fidget bands. Adding stools and wobble cushions will provide a greater variety of choice for more students. I want to be able to grant ALL students this opportunity.

With the help of this project, my goal will be attainable for my students. Above all, I always want my students to feel safe, comfortable, and welcomed regardless of their differences.
