My Students

I teach in a 1st grade classroom filled with students who share a strong desire to learn. Every day, they come to school ready for our school day filled with reading, writing, math, science, social studies, etc. When they enter the room, their excitement is remarkable. They can't wait to see what our day will hold.

Their readiness to learn is contagious and I can't help but share in their excitement.

Each child comes to school with their own story.

Understanding their story and creating a positive classroom culture is the best part of my day.

I am so lucky to be surrounded by a classroom of leaders that work tirelessly every day to reach their full potential.

My Project

These materials will enable my students to learn in an environment that works best for them. By providing a choice for each student, they are given the responsibility of choosing a seat that allows them to do their best work.

Every student is different and every student deserves the opportunity to work in a way that allows them to reach their full potential.

The variety of seating options will give my students the choice to make the best environment possible for their learning style.

I can't wait to see a classroom full of actively engaged students learning in a way that makes the most sense for themselves.
