My students need flexible seating options to be successful in the classroom! The balance balls and wiggle chairs will give them options to move around and help them feel comfortable and engaged while they work!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Kindergarten English language development is a unique group of students. They are at all stages of language development and are always practicing our new language skills! Some of the students come to school ready to read and others have never been to school.
Our classroom is very interested in being active and learning through play!
The students are diverse in their language, culture and interests! Students work on English acquisition through exploration with science and play. They are ready to try and are so excited when they see their peers succeed!
My Project
My students love to be active and move around! One of the biggest benefits of flexible seating is the amount of choice that students have. They have the chance to take ownership of their space in the classroom.
Children are so ready to move and when they have the option to find seating that is right for them they are empowered to make positive choices!
Wobble chairs and balance balls give students the option to work collaboratively together and still have a chance to wiggle. Lap desks give students an option to find any space in the room and work independently if they need separate space. Wobble cushions allow our tables to be lowered so children can sit comfortably on the ground!
