Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I believe I have the best students any teacher could ask for. I have the pleasure of working with every child, k-5, in my school. I am their drama teacher. Through me, they are introduced to a form of arts that is usually for middle school. Once a week they come to, what use to be the music room, to participate in group cooperation, reading, music, art, and performance skills. My students have discovered through my instruction that they each are gifted and talented.

My Project

Ball seats, stools and carpet squares for my students will allow them to choose the type of seating that makes them comfortable, and comfort means a less distracted student. Providing my students with the choice of comfortable seating let's them know that I am thinking of them. I also believe that it makes my class more inviting and the more inviting it is, the more cooperation and eagerness I will see in my students. Lastly, I also see the providing the flexibility as a reward for all the hard work that they have done and that I know they will continue to do. Please help me make this happen from my much deserving classes.
