My Students
I have 20 wonderful students. They range in age from 3 to 5 years-old. My students represent a wide range of backgrounds. The school district is made up of 52% Hispanic, 35% African American, and 22% Caucasian. A few of my students are learning English, with Spanish being their primary language. They are very eager to learn and they deserve the best of the best!
My students are little sponges.
They are soaking in everything they learn. They are very excited to learn and grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Since they are very young, they need hands-on experiences to aid in their learning. They love to learn through play. Play is vital to the learning process for early childhood.
These students would greatly benefit from your donation. We are in great need of tools to assist their learning. Thank you for taking the time to read.
My Project
My students range from 3-5 years old. They are extremely active learners. Sitting still is extremely difficult for most of my little learners. They need movement to help them focus and learn. This is why I am asking for wobble stools and ball chairs. This will allow them to have the necessary movement they need, while sitting at their table. Having the option to bounce or wobble while working or learning would drastically increase their focus. Also, flexible seating helps with behavior. It cuts out on the number of students getting up, losing focus, and leaning back in a chair that will fall. Many students act out because they need movement. Studies have shown that movement increases brain activity. I have seen students be able to focus for longer periods of time. Also, I have flexible seating (stools & ball chairs) to help in cutting down / out disruptive behavior. I want all my students to have access to the benefits of flexible seating.
