Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I love that my students come to school eager to be part of a wonderful school community that we have. I would love to provide everything that they need in our class.
"I love getting new students in class because they can be my new friends," said one of my students this year.
This is the type of classroom environment where students are able to help each other and become good friends. This makes it easier for me to allow them to share my love for learning.
My Project
My students will benefit from introducing flexible seating in to our classroom. We will introduce a variety of ways to sit in the class ranging from seat cushion, lap desk, donut ball and balance balls in their daily class routines.
Flexible seating will give students a choice of where they would like to sit in the class.
Students will be able to work comfortably around the classroom doing their work individually and in groups without having to sit in a regular desk. The flexible seating will allow students the freedom to move around the room and feel comfortable in their working environment.
