Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars are special because they come to school every day ready to learn. They may be dealing with something difficult, but they don't let that stop them. All my scholars want to succeed. To them, success isn't just receiving a passing grade. Success is showing progress or growth throughout the school year.
Seeing the difference these scholars can make each day is why I enjoy teaching so much.
These scholars are our future, and we must do everything we can to make sure they can succeed.
My Project
Scholars need more choice when it comes to how they learn. I want to start this positivity off by giving the scholars a choice on what they sit on. This project is about flexible seating. I would like to have different kinds of seating that I believe will help with our different types of learning styles. Some kids would enjoy the ball chairs, some like wiggle chairs and stools, and some would choose to sit on the floor with a pillow or cushion. Having these different kinds of seating will promote a better learning environment. Help us achieve our goal!
