My Students

We are a school in beautiful Central Virginia that is part of a wonderful and caring community. At our school our students are learners, teachers, explorers, scientists, readers, poets, musicians, artists and athletics. Each child's uniqueness is celebrated. My kids are bright and inquisitive! They are unique in their personalities, learning styles and interests. My kids are very diverse in the way they learn; some like to stand, lay on the floor, collaborate, wiggle and others like to be mobile.

My Project

Projections donations will go to creating a student centered classroom. A classroom where kids can have a choice about what works best for them in regards to their learning. The traditional classroom with rows of desks will be replaced with lowered tables and cushions, circular tables for collaboration, rocking cradle chairs, a standing desk area, wiggle chairs and stability balls for seating. Flexible seating will allow my kids the opportunity to learn in a way that is comfortable for them. I am creating a student centered classroom along with the implementation of personalized learning. I want to give my kids choices not only in what they learn but how they learn in their classroom environment
