My Students

My classroom is full of eager learners. They love stories, math centers, and science experiments. They especially love to write and illustrate stories. They are great at all of it...except sitting still! My movers and shakers need some flexible seating that will enable them to move while they sit!

My students come from several countries and over half of them are English language learners.

They are bright and lively children who live the Three R's: Respectful, Responsible, and Ready! They are 21st century learners who are tackling the Common Core Standards with gusto!

My Project

I am working hard to create a 21st century learning environment for my students. Flexible Seating allows students to choose the best learning environment for their bodies. The children know what they need to be successful. Can you imagine doing your best work while seated in a hard chair for six hours? These four Kore Wobble chairs that I have requested will give my students the chance to learn while engaging their core muscles and developing better posture. Along with large pillows, crate seats, and standing desks, the Wobble chairs will help my students stay engaged in their learning.

With flexible seating options, the children in my class will be able to choose their work space for independent work.

Wobble chairs help students to self regulate and concentrate. The chairs let students move without distracting others, and helps them to remain seated for longer periods of time.
